Agridrive Nigeria Ltd specializes in mechanization service provision, inputs support and agribusiness technical backstopping. Agridrive Nigeria Ltd has a fleet of Tractors and implements that it uses to provide mechanization services to farmers across Nigeria. Agridrive Nigeria Ltd is currently operating in Oyo, Ogun, Osun and Ekiti states. Agridrive Nigeria Ltd is looking to recruit a suitably qualified person for the position of Field Supervisor. This position will be resident in Ibadan or in our project sites across the Southwest.
Job Description
The Field Supervisor will be part of the operation team for our mechanization service provision business currently being done in Nigeria. We are currently operating in Southwest Nigeria and expanding to other regions. Reporting to the Deputy Country Manager the Field Supervisor is to ensure efficient and effective provision of mechanization services and other agribusiness solutions to clients.
Working with the Deputy Country Manager and/or an Operation Manager, he or she will be required to:
- Report to his or her line Manger/the Deputy Country Manager and ensure efficient and effective provision of mechanization and other agribusiness solutions services to clients.
- Identify new farmers in need of mechanization services and engage them to patronize Agridrive.
- Supervise the provision of mechanization services which includes all farm operations such as ploughing, harrowing, ridging, planting, herbicide application, harvesting etc
- Ensure compliance with Agridrive standard work Ethics, policies and procedures.
- Measure and record all work done by tractor Operators and ensure good monitoring of work done and resource used.
- Ensure safety and maintenance of all Agridrive assets under his/her jurisdiction.
- Keep essential records of Agridrive equipment, servicing and repairs.
- Prepare weekly reports of activities, work done, resource use and assets for the Deputy Country Manager.
- Perform any other task as may be assigned by his line manager from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agronomy, Agric Engineering, Agribusiness or Business Management and Marketing or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the commercial/agribusiness sector providing agribusiness solutions to farmers. Hands on experience in farm mechanization service provision, overseeing, agro inputs marketing and management, public relations, handling and maintenance of farm machinery and working with farmers and farm workers in a commercial and rural environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in records keeping, report writing, budgeting and presentation, using relevant computer applications and the internet; team management and multi-tasking.
